Way 1: Pour luke-warm water over the windshield then quickly scrape/brush the ice off. Reapply water to any spots that did not come off and repeat.

Way 2: Buy a commercial deicer or make your own by mixing rubbing alcohol and a few drops of dish soap into a spray bottle.

Way 3: If you do not have access to lukewarm water, a deicer, or any normal ice scraping tools, the next best thing is to scrape the ice with a credit card while the car’s defroster is on.

Way 4: Preventing the ice: cover your windshield with a towel or piece of cardboard the night before so that the ice forms on the towel or cardboard rather than the windshield.
